Samantha Tesser Haimo practices in all areas of civil litigation. Ms Haimo has a broad commercial trial practice, with extensive experience in both jury and non-jury cases in state and federal trial courts, as well as appellate courts. Her broad-based litigation experience includes complex commercial litigation, securities litigation, labor and employment, including, representation of both employers and employees in employment disputes involving sexual harassment, workplace discrimination, as well as violations of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and Americans with Disabilities Act, probate litigation and other civil matters involving real estate. Ms. Haimo also specializes in representing individual and institutional clients in every aspect of securities litigation before The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). In addition, her experience includes litigation of business torts, breach of contract and negligence actions. She has substantial experience in Alternative Dispute Resolution and related arbitration and mediation procedures. Ms. Haimo has taught as an Adjunct Professor at Nova Southeastern University and is a member of The Florida Bar. She is admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern, Northern and Middle Districts of Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh and Fifth Circuits. She has also been admitted to practice in several other federal districts around the country. Ms Haimo obtained a Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Florida, cum laude, and her Juris Doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern University, cum laude. In addition to her professional responsibilities, Ms Haimo is active in numerous civic, community and legal organizations, including the American Bar Association and Broward County Bar Association. |
